Cover a toilet tissue tube with gift wrapping paper. Tape or glue it securely. Cut two identical flames from red construction paper. Insert a 6 inch piece of thread between them, lengthwise, and paste them together. Cut two 3 1/2 " halos from yellow construction paper. Cut out the centers as shown. Cover one with glue. Center the flame in the hole. Lay the thread ends across the glue, and add the other halo. Trim off the leftover thread ends. Cut two slits in the candle. Slide the halo into the slits with the flame straight up in the center. A breath of air on the flame will make it seem to flicker.Monday, December 14, 2009
