SUMMER MATH SKILLS SHARPENER

FAVORITE BOOK OF THE YEAR

At the end of the year, have your students draw a picture of their 'favorite book' that year.  You can put these in the Journal/Memory Book, or keep a few each year to post the next year on a bulletin board.  You could label it: FAVORITE BOOKS OF ____ GRADE or SUGGESTED READING FROM PAST STUDENTS.

A PICTURE IS WORTH A THOUSAND WORDS

Find a paper similar to these.  They show you what the children enjoyed during the school year.  Remember to put them in the Journal/Memory Book.
